This is Darren White

Darren White is a former Bernalillo County Sheriff. He was elected in 2002 and re-elected in 2006, and then served as Secretary of the New Mexico Department of Public Safety under Governor Gary Johnson. During this tenure, White received numerous awards, including the New Mexico Medal of Honor. Since he left office, White has worked on public safety issues in many states.
While growing up on the Oregon Coast, Darren McConnell moved to Portland, Oregon, where he fell in love with the Columbia River Gorge area and its mountains. In 2013, he moved to Littleton, Colorado, where he is now based. His photographs are featured in many publications, including National Geographic Traveler and Popular Photography. His work is also sold internationally.

As a former Bernalillo County Sheriff, Darren White has a long and varied career in law enforcement. He served the city of Albuquerque as a police officer and was re-elected in 2006. Previously, he served as the secretary of the state’s Department of Public Safety in the governor’s administration. However, he later stepped down from that position due to controversy. During this period, he questioned police procedure.
